Campden view - woodcut by A J Gaskin
A.J. Gaskin – woodcut of Campden Church and Campden house estate. 16x16cm
1926. Donated by the Campden Trust to CADHAS 16.12.2002
Gaskin taught at the Birmingham School of Art and was Director of the Jewellers and Silversmiths School Birmingham. Living in Edgbaston at this date. He used Japan paper (washi) which is hand made from plant based materials. So absolutely in the Arts and Crafts tradition, and no doubt produced in tandem with the Guild of Handicrafts.
