We have an extensive library of photographs of Campden scenes and people, going back to around 1860. All the photo prints are itemised in the Archive Catalogue and have also been digitised. Original digital photographs are not catalogued but are searchable on request.
There are nearly 4000 digital images in COMMA (Community Multi Media Archives), a program that enables us to ‘hot spot’, and therefore search for, people and buildings.
Over 11,000 images are stored in Media Pro Photo Library and can be searched for on request – some of these are from the prints and can be found from the Catalogue reference number or keywords.
Our treasured photos were taken by Jesse Taylor, over 100 years ago, and provide a picture of life in Campden and the area at the time.
