Rosemary Turner was just the right person to be the first owner-occupier of Covenant House, formerly the Vicarage. Her interest and experience in history were invaluable in researching the building and its many occupants through the centuries and her short book ‘The Old Vicarage, Chipping  Campden’ is a definitive study for our use.

As CADHAS Archivist she played a leading role in the conversion of the room in the old Police Station into a repository for the archives that were previously stored in various members’ houses and she reorganised the cataloguing system that is in use today.

We were very pleased to be offered Rosemary’s documents, plans and photographs, that were used in researching and writing her book, for the CCHS Archives.

‘From the Archives’, we offer you some notes (see below) about Covenant House, compiled from Rosemary’s book and CCHS Photo Library.
